A Family Legacy Built on Service
Today’s Molde’s Electric & Mechanical Inc. is a continuation of a proud family legacy that began in the 1940s. Originally founded by Ingmar and Luthard Molde as Molde’s Electric Co., we have carried forward a tradition of service that started in the 1940s.
Ron started his electrical career in his 20s, working for his uncles at Molde’s Electric Co. The business focused on electrical services to meet Montevideo’s growing needs, becoming one of the first to bring electricity to local homes. As it passed to the next generation, Ron and his cousin Roger expanded into heating and A/C service and installation.
In the late 1980s, Ron Molde branched out to refocus on electrical services, founding Ron Molde Electric, Inc. His son Nathan joined him in 1990, and together they spent over 25 years serving the region’s electrical, heating, and cooling needs. In 2016, Nathan’s son Chris joined the team, marking the fourth generation of Moldes committed to the trade.
To honor our multi-generational roots and the full scope of our services, the business was renamed Molde’s Electric & Mechanical, Inc. We’re proud of our long-standing history in this community and grateful for the opportunity to continue doing what we love every day. Building on that legacy, we remain committed to exceptional service, strong community ties, and lasting relationships with our customers.
